New platform gives homeowners tools to organize projects, manage contractors, track progress, and identify risks before they escalate
St. Petersburg, United States, October 30, 2026 -- Indigo, a construction technology platform designed to help homeowners manage renovation and repair risks, officially launched Oct. 15 during an event at The Floridian Social in downtown St. Petersburg.
The launch brought together members of Tampa Bay’s construction, technology, business, government, and civic communities for a platform demonstration and a conversation about persistent challenges facing homeowners and contractors.
Indigo was created to address risks such as contractor fraud, incomplete work, cost overruns, project delays, and poor communication. Through the platform, homeowners can claim their properties, register projects, add or search for contractors, organize project information, monitor progress, and address potential issues as work proceeds.
“Indigo gives the homeowner more control of the process,” said founder and CEO Matthew Cleary.
Cleary developed the platform after a costly contractor dispute and realized how few resources existed to help homeowners protect themselves or resolve problems. Drawing on nearly three decades of experience in construction operations and risk management, he initially envisioned commercial construction software before refocusing the platform on the residential market.
Powered by RiskFeed, Indigo uses artificial intelligence for risk assessment, contractor matching, document analysis, and photo review. The platform also features Dig, an AI-powered virtual watchdog designed to help users navigate Indigo and better understand potential project risks.
The launch comes as Florida homeowners continue to confront storm-related repairs and growing concerns about unreliable or unlicensed contractors. These risks can worsen after hurricanes and other disasters, when demand for qualified contractors, materials, inspections, and insurance resources surges across entire communities.
“Homeowners are often expected to make major financial and construction decisions at the exact moment they are most vulnerable,” Cleary said. “Indigo was built to give them a more organized, transparent way to manage the process, document what is happening, and recognize warning signs before a problem becomes a significant loss.”
Indigo will continue expanding its risk management capabilities and developing features that strengthen communication, documentation, and accountability between homeowners and contractors.
The company is also developing The Dig Foundation, a nonprofit initiative that supports trade education through grants, scholarships, and other workforce-development programs.
Spectrum Bay News 9 and the St. Pete Catalyst recently featured Indigo's launch.
